Process:
Choosing our play was a long process.
During the holidays we each had to research two plays out of the selection given to us by Scotty (our teacher) then, when we returned to school, we each had to propose one of the plays that we researched to the class. after all proposals we decided on a shortlist of 3 plays, After Dinner, Secret Bridesmaids’ buisness and Gary’s House. The proposer of each of these plays then had to read the play s/he proposed and come back to the class with the pro’s and con’s of the play. we then shortlisted Gary’s house and After Dinner. Followed by much discussion and conflicting views we voted on the play and “After dinner” was the play we decided to perform! I think this was a thorough and good method of selection, however, could’ve been done quicker in order to ensure more time to make other important decisions. Discussions, while important, could’ve been reduced and this decision could’ve been made quicker.
